Role: Vice President, Consumer Operations
Led product development efforts for a newly created division of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt focused on digital consumer products. Accomplishments include:
- Acted as Product Owner for Curious World, a major new subscription product for the Early Learning children’s education market, launched in late 2015.
- Managed the development of platform-level services to power HMH consumer websites including HMHCo.com, ChannelOne.com, and CliffsNotes.com
- Built a core team of digital producers, user experience architects, designers, and project managers.
- Introduced agile methodologies and processes to the product development lifecycle of the Consumer Products division.
App & Website
Curious World offers a world of educational videos, games, and books tied to early learning curriculum, expertly selected to engage young minds. Our in-house development team took the product from ideation to launch in just over 6 months.
HMHCo.com, aside from being the corporate website, is also an eCommerce destination for HMH books and curriculums, including many which are restricted for educational institutions. Our team revamped the entire buying experience to be mobile-first.
OneVote Election Event
Channel One News is an award-winning daily news program that encourages young people to become informed, global citizens. Our team developed a nationwide mock election that was held in classrooms around the country just before the 2016 presidential election.
